Lab 6: Weekly creator report
A Monday-morning dashboard of last week's posts, what people said, and the DMs still waiting on you.
- Goal
- One interactive report of last week's Instagram and Facebook posts that updates every Monday, plus drafts for unanswered DMs.
- You learn
- Web artifacts, updating an artifact, recurring reports
- Needs
- Instagram, Instagram Messages, Facebook. A business or creator account gives more data.
- Payoff
- The weekly hour spent in Insights and DMs
The DM step uses the Instagram Messages connector, which is separate from Instagram. Connect both. Post reach and insights may need a business or creator account. If Muse says it cannot reach something, write down what it can reach.
Steps
- Build the report:
Pull my Instagram and Facebook posts from the last 7 days. Build an interactive web page with: each post, its likes, comments and reach; a chart of engagement by day; the three main themes in the comments; and the post that did best, with your reason why. Save it to my Library.
- Open it on your phone. Ask for one change:
Add a column for the time each post went up, and sort by reach.
- Check DMs:
List Instagram DMs I haven't replied to in the last 7 days. Group them: questions, collaborations, spam. Draft replies to the questions. Don't send.
- Schedule it:
Every Monday at 8:00 am, update this same report for the past week and message me the top three takeaways with a link to it.
Right away: the task shows in Your assistant›Upcoming. After the first Monday: the original report in the Library shows the new week. If Muse made a second file, tell it to update the original next time.
Push further
Based on the last four reports, tell me which day and time my posts do best, and which topics get the most comments. Suggest three posts for next week.
