Lab 5: Dinner party from saved reels
Turn recipe reels you saved on Instagram into a menu that respects your guests and a grocery list you tick off in the store.
- Goal
- A Saturday menu built from your saved reels, safe for each guest, plus a grocery checklist on your phone.
- You learn
- Using your Meta account data, memory about other people, interactive artifacts, sharing
- Needs
- Instagram (connects through Accounts Center). Two or three saved recipe reels.
- Payoff
- The hour of scrolling back through saves and writing a list
This is Meta's launch example, run end to end.
Steps
- Save two or three recipe reels on Instagram if you have none.
- Tell Muse about your guests:
Remember: [Guest 1] is vegetarian. [Guest 2] has a nut allergy. [Guest 3] doesn't drink alcohol.
- Plan the menu:
Look at the recipe reels I saved on Instagram. Plan a dinner for Saturday for [Guest 1], [Guest 2], [Guest 3] and me, using two of those reels plus one dessert. Respect what you know about each guest. Give me a cooking timeline that ends at 7 pm.
- Turn it into a checklist:
Make a grocery checklist for this menu, grouped by supermarket aisle, with quantities for 4 people. Save it as an interactive page I can tick off on my phone.
- Open the Library and find the checklist. Tick off what you already have.
- Ask Muse to share it with one guest. Muse asks for your approval before sharing anything outside your account.
- The menu has no nuts and a vegetarian main.
- The checklist is in the Library and ticks work on your phone.
- Your guests' diets are in
Memory.md.
Do not ask Muse to buy the groceries on Amazon. Amazon blocks it. See Limits, safety and the Amazon block.
Push further
Every Sunday at 10 am, pick three dinners for the week from my saved reels, avoiding anything I cooked last week, and make one combined grocery checklist.
